Cleanup and Optimization
- 1. Set computer power settings and set the screen saver to the Windows logo
- 2. Downloaded various software to clean the computer.
- 3. Hard Drive check (CMD)
- 4. Reboot the computer in safe mode.
- 5. Perform cleanup and optimization.
- 6. Dumped memory and optimized
- 7. CMD- System file check.
- 8. Uninstalled unwanted software.
- 9. Uninstall AVG, Avast, and free antivirus software that conflicts with performance.
- 10. Defrag- drives, boot time, and system files. (If not SSD)
- 11. Clean up folders and remove broken shortcuts.
- 12. Cleanup startup menu and add delays to optimize the boot
- 13. Clear the clipboard and empty folders
- 14. Repair system files if needed
- 15. Disk Cleanup to free up space and memory
- 16. Increase paging memory for Internet Explorer. (Virtual memory)
- 17. Delete tracking cookies
- 18. Remove unwanted browser extensions.
- 19. Remove malware and threats.
- 20. Installed Windows updates and patches.
- 21. Installed Java and Adobe DC and updates.
- 22. Uninstalled downloaded software tools.
- 23. Recorded remote sessions.
- 24. Boot the computer and log in.
- 25. Documents with screenshots and make a folder labeled “DaveTheNerdGuy LLC”.
- 26. Have the client check the computer and sign off to bill.
